Wot I loved today: A night at The Maltings

I don’t really do New Year’s Eve. Not since millennium eve when I lost my friends in the crowd, was forced to snog a woman and then slept rough in a train station where a tramp was running amok with an old-fashioned scythe.

This year, in accordance with tradition, I ignored NYE completely. Instead we had our friends the BBs round for an asado and by Jesus it was good. We ate like princes!

Eating over we put some choonz on and had a bit of a rave. (That entire sentence makes me look very old and very sad,.) The challenge: each of us had to play four songs that we used to dance to at our respective local grubby nightclubs as teenagers. IT WAS THE BEST CHALLENGE EVER!

We visited Timepieces in Exeter, The Wharf in Devizes, Night Owls in Taunton and The Maltings in Stroud. A luxury clubbing experience by anyone’s standards.

The Maltings was my local. It was disgusting in every way and had all the charm of a dog’s backside.

My tunes:
Insomnia by Faithless
One on One by Robert Miles
No Diggity by Blackstreet
What’s Love Got To Do With It covered by Warren G and Adina Howard.

I am laughing uncontrollably as I remember little Robsinson wiggling around to these tunes. Amazing.

Please share your filthy tracks right this minute!

Ps. I have no idea why this is in italics.
